Connect Salesforce

Follow these steps in order. The whole process takes under 10 minutes.

  1. 1

In Salezx: Go to Settings → Integrations → Salesforce → Click "Connect Salesforce"

  2. 2

You will be redirected to Salesforce login — sign in with a System Administrator account

  3. 3

Review and Accept the Salezx connected app permissions when prompted

  4. 4

You will be redirected back to Salezx — initial data sync begins automatically

  5. 5

Initial sync takes 5–15 minutes depending on your account size and record volume

  6. 6

Verify: Go to Settings → Integrations — Salesforce should show "Connected ✓" in green

Common issues with Salesforce

"OAuth failed" error on redirect

Fix: Ensure you are logged in as a System Admin, not a standard user

Sync appears stuck at 0%

Fix: Check field-level security settings — key fields may be restricted

Required permissions

  • Read: Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities
  • Read: Tasks, Activities, Events
  • Read: Custom objects (optional, configurable)
  • Write: Activity log-back (when ACT feature is enabled)

Salezx uses read-only OAuth scopes by default. Write access is only enabled when the ACT feature (CRM updates via chat) is turned on.

Common connection errors

These errors appear across all CRM integrations. Here is how to resolve each one.

What Salezx reads — and what it never touches

Salezx accesses only the sales data it needs to answer questions and surface insights. Your sensitive business data stays locked.

Salezx reads this data

  • Accounts (Companies)
  • Contacts (Buyers, stakeholders)
  • Opportunities / Deals
  • Activities (Calls, Emails, Meetings)
  • Tasks and follow-up reminders
  • Custom objects (configurable per plan)

Salezx never reads this

  • Passwords or credentials
  • Payment or billing information
  • Attached files or documents
  • Email body content
  • Private notes (unless explicitly shared)
  • Data outside the CRM system

Salezx is SOC 2 Type II certified and processes all CRM data in encrypted, isolated tenant environments. No data is used for model training.
